The first short film ever created by Why Wait Productions in 2012 was a parody of the hit TV show Toddlers & Tiaras. Puppies & Tiaras dives into the world of puppy pageantry, where the competition is ruff, but it’s the humans who are the real bitches. Jahnnalee couldn't afford lights for the 19-minute short film so she made the director call to shoot everything during magic hour. After releasing Puppies & Tiaras on YouTube it got the attention of Next Millennium Productions, a company out of New York, to showcase clips from the comedy short film on Animal Planet.
Clips from Puppies & Tiaras were in A Year in Pup Culture which aired on Animal Planet. This hour-long episode showcased different adorable pups throughout the year in 2012. Gizmo was excited to see his furry face on the television screen!
Dogster also wrote an article on Puppies & Tiaras which is the longest-running print publication for dog lovers, known for its love, care, humor, and knowledge of all things canine.
